ADR 006 Supabase Only (Superseded)

Superseded by ADR 018 Platform Authority Boundaries. “Supabase only” is too broad for current architecture.

Supabase self-hosted services were selected as the platform default. The original rule said to use Supabase Postgres, Auth, Storage, Realtime, Cron, Queues, Vector, and Edge Functions first, introducing alternatives only after evidence showed Supabase could not meet a requirement.

Supabase remains primary business data platform. SpiceDB owns authorization decisions, Restate owns durable workflow execution, and Kill Bill provides billing integration. ADR 018 names those boundaries without weakening Supabase-first reuse.

  • 2026-07-02: accepted Supabase-only platform default.
  • 2026-07-10: superseded by explicit platform authority boundaries.
